New Post: Project and documentation status?

Hello,
I'm new to AvalonDock and I have been searching the codeplex site, the google and anywhere else I can find for some sort of useful documentation. Instead, what I have found is:

• A bunch of half-helpful 'tutorials' that only teach you how to plug in pre-existing code made for the lessons
• Lots of mentions that some company called xceed has taken over AvalonDock
• A general appearance that since xceed has taken over, AvalonDock has died as an open source project.
• A complete lack of help from xceed anywhere on the net that I can see
  

So what's the status of this project? The latest commit was in 2013, and xceed hasn't posted anything to the site that I can see since then either. Is this still a viable and usable project? Will we ever see a coherent and usable set of documentation?
